The Street Animals Rehabilitation Center and the veterinary clinic located in Ilıca serve the district by registering both owned and stray animals to determine and manage the animal population within the district boundaries. Registration services for owned animals are provided during weekday working hours. After incidents of biting or scratching, animals are monitored during their legal observation period either at the unit’s monitoring facility or at the owner’s residence. (This service is provided 24/7, including official holidays.)

If an animal that has bitten or scratched dies before the end of the legal observation period, follow-up is conducted to assess the risk of rabies. Stray animals that have been involved in traffic accidents, poisoned, or acutely injured are urgently transported to the unit’s clinic. Stray animals are taken off the streets with a performance appropriate to the unit’s capacity, then neutered, tagged, vaccinated, and either adopted or, if adoption is not possible, released back to their original environment.

Educational activities are organized to build a more informed society regarding animal health, care, and legal regulations, starting from the adoption phase, fostering individuals who are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
